Ahn Nae Sang played by Ahn Nae Sang
He is a typical man from Gyeongsang province:authoritative and egocentric. For example, he makes other family members to change the light bulbs when they are out. He even made his wife Yoo Sun to dig a hole in the ground. He has a habit of shouting to others. As he has a rare blood type, RH-AB, he cowers when has to do risky works. Also, he always tends to blame the others aroung him.
Yoon Yoo Sun played by Yoon Yoo Sun
She has mild personality as her life had been mild as well. However, after the company got bankrupt, she got overwhelmed with stress and gets diagnosed for early menopause. After that see becomes short-tempered so she over-reacts to every little thing that happens. She is conceived insane from others due to her trying to becoming the woman she once had been.
Yoon Kye Sang played by Yoon Kye Sang
He is Yoo Sun's yonger brother. He now works as a doctor in the public service as he got fired from a big hospital doing surgeries without permission. He is kind with everyone; using polite expressions even to the children. However, he does not act as others want him to act. Nae Sang doesn't like him because he says what he says smiling regardless of Nae Sang's feelings. He is always reading books, so he tries to learn everything from the books. He once tries to beat up the bullies from a highschool and gets beaten up.
Yoon Ji-seok played by Seo Ji-seok
He is a coach at a highschool: short-tempered and ignorant. He is remarkably short-tempered, so he is angry for a minute changes his attitude for the next one. He is an athletic big guy however there are times where he doesn't seem to be. For example, when he tried to teach Ha Sun some martial arts, he fell down and when to the hospital by an ambulance. Contrary to his appearance deep inside his heart he is like a little child.
Ahn Jong Seuk played by Lee Jong Seuk
He is son of Nae Sang, and he is also a senior in a highschool. He was a great hockey player so he had been proposed by a university however, due to the bankruptcy he could not go there. Now the only thing he does is killing time with his best friend Seung Yoon. Because he had been only in to the athletic field, he cannot catch up with the senior class, so he is now in a junior class. Unlike his cynical personality, he often tries to do some jokes and fails.
Park Ha Sun played by Park Ha Sun
She is a Korean Language Teacher at a highschool. She is always tired due to her kind personality and helping others. She always says sorry to others and often gets fooled by others. When she tried to help Julien, a foreign teacher, getting a place to stay, she gets tricked. Thus she had to lend Ji Won's room to him. Unlike to her gentle personality, she is a strong woman doing rock-climbing and playing baseball.
Ahn Soo Jeong played by Krystal
She was studying abroad until her family got bankrupt. She is a tomboy, playing wild games with other boys, and gets along well with her dad. She is easily distracted from things that does not interest her, and she also has hobby of asking the littlest thing to others around her.
Directing Intentions: A father who now only has the habit of yelling to others after his bankruptcy, a mother overwhelmed by her feelings, a sibling who are still childish despite the bad situation of the family make a family which fights against the poverty and tries to live a life. This sitcom, 'High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged' is kind of a consolation match. It is a drama with a twist of the short legged ordinary people. They kick as hard as they can yelling "Not short enough for this!"
